Welcome to A Place to Learn, Grow, and Explore. Have you ever stumbled across a website that simply felt comfortable? A place where you could slow down, look around, learn something new, and maybe leave with an idea you had never considered before?
Hi! My name is Ellen Sue, and I am glad you found your way here.
I created 1y36.com as a place to share helpful information, personal experiences, everyday ideas, and some of the lessons I have learned throughout my life. Whether this is your first visit or you have been here before, welcome. Pull up a chair and stay awhile. My goal is pretty simple. I want this website to be useful.
I want readers to find articles that answer questions, encourage curiosity, share practical ideas, and sometimes simply bring a smile.
From a Nebraska Farm to the Online World
I certainly didn’t grow up with computers, smartphones, or the internet. I grew up on a small farm in Nebraska, where our days were shaped by family, animals, changing seasons, and whatever work needed to be done. There were cattle and hogs to care for, chores waiting every morning, gardens to tend, and plenty of work during planting and harvest seasons.
Growing up that way taught me lessons I still carry today. You learned to work hard. You learned to finish what you started. You learned to appreciate what you had. Most importantly, you learned that when somebody needed help, you helped them.
Life has changed quite a bit since those farm days. I never imagined that one day I would be retired and building a website on the internet. Life has a funny way of taking us down roads we never expected! But that is also one of the reasons I enjoy doing this. There is always something new to learn.
Curiosity Doesn’t Have an Age Limit
Retirement didn’t make me want to stop learning. If anything, it gave me more reasons to stay curious. The internet opened an entirely different world for me. I began discovering information about health and wellness, cooking, technology, blogging, personal development, travel, pets, skincare, business, and many other subjects.
Of course, not everything you find online is useful or trustworthy. That became another reason for creating this website. I wanted a place where I could research subjects that interested me, put information into plain language, add some of my own experiences, and share what I learned with other people.
I don’t claim to know everything. Far from it. I’m still learning too, and I think that is part of the fun.
What You’ll Find at 1y36.com
You may notice that this website covers quite a variety of subjects. That is intentional. Real life doesn’t fit neatly into one little box, and neither do our interests. One day we might be thinking about what to cook for supper. The next day we might be wondering about retirement, technology, our pets, travel, or something we heard about health and wellness.
Throughout 1y36.com, you’ll find articles and resources covering topics such as:
- Everyday life and personal experiences
- Food, cooking, and recipes
- Health and wellness education
- Beauty and skincare
- Pets and their needs
- Technology and online learning
- Personal growth and motivation
- Blogging and working from home
- Real estate education
- Travel and recreation
- Family life
- Fundraising and community ideas
Some subjects come from my own experiences. Others begin with a question that makes me curious enough to start researching. Either way, I try to keep things understandable and useful.
Welcome to A Place to Learn, Grow, and Explore Sharing What I Learn
One lesson I’ve learned over the years is that information becomes much more valuable when we share it. That doesn’t mean we all have to agree. It simply means we can listen, learn, ask questions, and make our own decisions. When I research a subject for this website, my goal is to help readers understand the basics without making things unnecessarily complicated.
If I discuss a product or service, I want readers to understand what it is and why someone might be interested in it. If I write about health or wellness, my goal is education rather than making promises about results.
When I talk about business, blogging, or real estate, I want to share what I am learning rather than suggest that one path is right for everyone. We all have different lives, goals, budgets, families, and circumstances.
Good information gives us a starting point. What we choose to do with that information is our own decision.
Learning From a Lifetime of Experiences
At this stage of my life, I have plenty of stories. Some make me laugh. Some taught me difficult lessons. Others remind me how much the world has changed. I went from attending a small rural school to raising a family, working, watching technology completely change our everyday lives, retiring, and then deciding I wasn’t quite ready to sit still.
Apparently, retirement and I had slightly different plans! Starting this website gave me another reason to keep learning. It also gave me a place to share some of the lessons that only come from living life.
I believe our experiences matter.
You don’t have to be a famous expert to have something worthwhile to share. Sometimes the most helpful advice comes from ordinary people who have simply been there, tried something, made mistakes, learned from them, and kept going. That is the spirit behind this website. Welcome to a place to learn, grow, and explore
Looking at Life With an Open Mind
There are many questions people begin asking as life changes. How can we stay active as we get older? What can we do to make everyday life easier? How do we keep up with technology? What should we know before trying something new? How can we continue learning after retirement? And perhaps one of the biggest questions of all: What’s next?
I don’t believe getting older means we have to stop being curious. There are always new things to learn, new places to explore, new recipes to try, and new skills to develop. Sometimes the next chapter of life begins simply because we were willing to try something different.
Exploring Business and Real Estate
You will also find educational articles about subjects such as blogging, affiliate marketing, online business, and real estate. These are areas I have spent time learning about, and I enjoy sharing what I discover. Some readers may find these subjects interesting. Others may not, and that is perfectly fine.
The purpose of these articles is to explain ideas, share experiences, and provide information readers can use as a starting point for their own research. There is no single path that works for everyone. Learning comes first.
A Community Built Around Helping
One thing from my farm upbringing has never changed: I believe people do better when they help one another. Neighbours helped neighbours. Families worked together. If somebody needed an extra hand, you didn’t spend much time wondering what you would get in return. You simply helped.
I still believe in that way of living. Welcome to A Place to Learn, Grow, and Explore
Today, our communities may stretch far beyond the little towns where we grew up. Technology allows us to meet people from different states, countries, backgrounds, and generations.
Yet the basic idea remains the same. We can learn from one another. We can encourage one another. And sometimes sharing one helpful idea can make somebody else’s day a little easier.
Helpful Information Without the Pressure at 1y36.com
You won’t be interested in every subject on this website. And you shouldn’t be. Explore the categories that interest you. Read the articles that catch your attention. Skip the ones that don’t. Simple as that.
My job is to keep researching, learning, writing, and sharing information that I believe readers may find useful.
Your job is simply to enjoy your visit and decide what is helpful for you.
Thank You for Visiting
Thank you for spending some time here today. Every visitor who reads an article, explores a new subject, or returns to see what has been added helps this little corner of the internet continue to grow.
I hope 1y36.com becomes one of those websites you remember when you have a few quiet minutes and feel like exploring something new. You might find a recipe for supper, a story that reminds you of years gone by, information about something you’ve been wondering about, or an idea that sends you down an entirely new path of learning.
That is what makes curiosity so much fun. So grab a cup of coffee, make yourself comfortable, and look around. There is always something else to discover.
